Chapter 6: If Suzie is taking a timed quiz and she has 5 seconds left to answer 5 questions that consist of 4 questions each, and she randomly selects 1 of the 4 answers for each 5 problems, what are the different probabilities that she gets 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5, of the questions right? We calculated the probability of her getting 0-5 of the problems correct. We learned that there is a slim to none chance of Suzie getting all 5 answers correct.Chapter 7: What is the comparison of teens in the Stats class at Fowler High school who wear XSmall, Small, Medium, Large, XLarge, and XXLarge t-shirts? We found out that the majority of Stats students wear Small and Medium t-shirt sizes. Specifically, about 78.5% of the stats class wear Small or medium t-shirt sizes. Using the t-shirt size data, we calculated where 64%, 95% and 99.7% of our data fell.Chapter 8: What is the comparison of lengths of LITTLE NECK clams in Garrison Bay? My partner and I plugged in our data set into L1 in our calculators, and did 1-varstat. This helped us find things like the sample size, sample mean, sample standard deviation, etc.. Our results ended up showing that the sample mean of littleneck clams was 383.65 and sample standard deviation was 89.39 |
